About Me

I am a professionally qualified Integrative Therapist and dedicated clinical supervisor with over two decades of experience. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys, particularly in the areas of bereavement, complex grief, addiction, trauma, PTSD and anxiety. My goal is to help my clients achieve a sense of well-being and fulfilment.

My approach is shaped by self-awareness, life experiences, and self-reflection, which allows me to foster a non-judgmental, empathetic environment. These experiences have fuelled my desire to be my best self, which means I don’t always fit the mould. I use my intuition to understand individual needs and adapt my methods accordingly.

My commitment to ethical practice is unwavering, as evidenced by my BACP accreditation and adherence to the BACP Ethical Framework. I am also dedicated to continuous learning, regularly keeping up to date with the latest research and therapeutic models. This commitment ensures that my practice remains dynamic and informed by the most current advancements in the field.

I am here to support you on your journey, whether you are reaching out for yourself, a loved one, or on behalf of a client or organisation.

I consider it a privilege to listen to your story and offer a supportive environment grounded in understanding and respect. In our sessions, you will find a safe space where the necessary conditions for building a therapeutic alliance can truly flourish.

MY APPROACH

The integrative approach focuses on harmonising all aspects of your personality and being, creating a balanced and cohesive whole. I acknowledge that you are a complex being with many facets to your personality and experiences. By addressing your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects, I can support you in achieving a greater sense of wholeness and well-being, tailoring the support to your individual needs and preferred ways of working.

These therapeutic models include:

  • Helping uncover unconscious patterns and explore early life experiences that shape your current behaviours.

  • Such as person-centred therapy, which emphasises empathy, authenticity, and self-actualisation, empowering you to explore your own growth potential.

  • Offering practical tools for addressing specific issues and changing unhelpful thought patterns.

  • Providing a valuable lens through which to understand your relational dynamics and patterns of connection.

  • When integrated, foster present-moment awareness and self-regulation skills, enhancing your capacity for introspection and emotional regulation.

  • Ensuring sensitivity and support for you if you have experienced trauma, creating a safe therapeutic environment for healing.

By weaving together these diverse theories and practices, I can tailor my approach to your unique needs and circumstances, fostering a holistic journey toward healing and integration.

“Your therapist’s efforts are instrumental in activating your healing. Without her insight into what’s happening unconsciously inside of you, her perception into what’s going on in the back of your head, you could wander aimlessly for a long time… through a combination of her training and her use of her personal experiences of you, she can give you feedback about what may be going on unconsciously that causes you trouble.”

  • After 18 months of regular therapy with Cinda I truly feel as if our work has changed the trajectory of mine and my family's life for the better. I have gained valuable tools on how to cope with uncomfortable feelings and worked through past trauma that wouldn’t have felt possible without Cinda's knowledge, patience and empathy. The therapy door has been left open for future work providing a comforting cushioning to every day life.

  • Since October 2021 I have undertaken a significant amount of personal work with Cinda and I have found our time together invaluable. She is instinctive in her approach and I have learnt to trust the process of therapy through our work together. Her experience as a therapist shows through, she is well informed and well read and I trust her observations and insights. The reparative element of the relationship we have built together will stay with me forever and has really helped me understand myself in ways I could not have imagined when I first started therapy.
